Ingredients
- 1.5 oz reposado tequila
- 0.5 oz mezcal
- 1 barspoon agave syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash mole bitters
- Orange peel (for garnish)
- Ice
Instructions

Stir: Combine tequila, mezcal, agave syrup, and both bitters in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.

Serve: Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.

Garnish: Express an orange peel over the glass, run it around the rim, and rest it on the ice.
Notes
Created by Phil Ward at Death & Co in New York. The mezcal plays a supporting role here, adding a smoky finish that lingers after the tequila's warmth. If you can't find mole bitters, Angostura alone works well. Adjust the agave syrup to taste.
